The closing date for entries for the competition is midnight on 15 October 2013.
1.This competition is open to residents of the 28 Member States of the European Union plus Norway, Switzerland and Turkey aged 21 years or over by the time the competition closes.
2.All information detailing how to enter this competition forms part of these terms and conditions. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the competitor agrees to abide by these rules. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Submission of an entry will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions.
3.Entries should be submitted via the form provided on the Faces of Brewing website. Image files must be 1MB and 3MB. We regret that we are unable to accept postal entries.
4.All entries must be received by the advertised closing time and date.
5.All images submitted must be the work of the individual submitting them and he/she must be the sole copyright owner of the image.
6.It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any images they submit have been taken with the permission of the subject and do not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws. Entrants must warrant that the photograph they are submitting is their own work and that they own the copyright for it.
7.Copyright in all images submitted for this competition remains with the respective entrants. The Brewers of Europe may use any of the submitted images in non-commercial material or to promote the Faces of Brewing Competition. The photos will not be used on commercial material by The Brewers of Europe or any of their member associations as featured on The Brewers of Europe website.
8.Images should not be currently featured or have previously featured in any commercial marketing materials for the promotion of beer brands as this competition has been primarily organised for amateur photographers.
9.Individuals may submit more than one entry. Late, illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupt entries will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries and proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt. You will receive a notification by email following your submission informing you if the image was uploaded or not. Entries must not be sent through agencies or third parties.
10.Submitted images are vetted for publication on the website. Only images respecting the theme and quality criteria of the competition will be published.
11.The winning entry will be the most visually appealing, original and self-explanatory photo capturing the themes of this year’s Faces of Brewing competition and shall be selected by the jury. The winner will be notified at the latest by email by end November 2013 (The closing date is advertised above).
12.Prizes shall be awarded as outlined on the ‘Prizes’ section of this website. The prizes as described are available on the date of publication. All prizes are non-transferable and there are no cash alternatives.
13.Attached please find the model release form to be filled out and uploaded.
14.The winners may be invited to take part in publicity and/or attend events.
15.The winners' names and countries may be disclosed to anyone who sends an email to The Faces of Brewing website.
16.Events may occur that render the competition itself or the awarding of the prizes impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and, accordingly, the Promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof. The Promoter also reserves the right to change timing and deadlines of the competition.
17.Belgian law applies and the exclusive jurisdiction of Belgium shall prevail in all aspects related to the contest and image use.
